Interview with Magical Nay

Q: When did you first start out making content online?

A: First, I was a cosplayer (@Magical_Nay)! I was a cosplayer for over 8 years! My fiance, @Dedman95 had us watch our favorite streamer, Jabroni_Mike! He has a vtuber so it inspired me to have one as well. I started off as a pngtuber! Then eventually went into vtubing, which is the BEST decision for your wallet EVER!

I had a 5+ year old HP laptop, and I thought it was easy, I (tried to) stream myself playing Sonic Adventure! But everything was laggy and choppy (high disk and CPU usage) to the point where I had to shut down and leave. I cried and felt like a failure, but Dedman and my best friend that’s a Dr. Eggman roleplayer gave me tips on how to find a better computer, I went on Amazon and found those el cheapo $300 RGB pc shitboxes, it had 2TB of storage and other things so I got it… Ever since then, my streams has been pretty great! Exceeeeept for when I have to stream with friends then it acts poo poo pee pee 🙁 #justmagicalnaytingz

Q: Tell me about yourself and your daily routine.

A: I am black and African-American from both sides of my family, and my mother is also Puerto Rican! I unfortunately don’t know too much of my roots, when I ask my father where my roots come from, he would just say “You’re a……”… Thaaaanks, that really helps (*sarcasm*)

I’m a current nursing student (RN) that recently completed her 1st semester! At the moment I’m the only black person that’s in class too… It is hard as BALLS but honestly? It’s worth it! I would like to be a nurse for peds, whether it’s PICU, NICU, peds psych or peds emergency! There was barely any reputation to show Black nurses until I watched Doc McStuffins! Ever since then, I want to become a nurse to show children, especially black children that we are CAPABLE of being nurses and do great things!

Oh right! Daily routine! I would have (force) my fiancé to make me some cereal, meds, then I would talk or roleplay with some of my friends… During breaks I usually fall asleep for majority of the day (BECAUSE WE NEEEEED IT) but during school time I socialize with friends and study! Afterwards I enjoy getting a meal from McDick’s or Taco Bell or something sweet! Wait for my fiancé to come home so we can watch Tik Toks so I can be like “OMG IT’S US!!!” Then we schleep together with my lovely cat, Diva!

Q: Is there any behind-the-scenes content that you’d like to share?

A: OK! I haven’t told anyone this but I AM working on upgrading my CPU to something better so my shitbox can turn into a GOLDEN shitbox!!!

I also have another model… That is 3D that I want to debut when I have my stuff together. Currently going to change her rigging for 2D model, received Majinxa’s new theme song and is working on a debut trailer and lore!
